Opera Tampa Alfresco
Opera Tampa at the Straz Center makes it safe to enjoy live
entertainment this spring by having Opera Tampa Singers
perform in the Straz’s newly created outdoor performing space
along the Tampa Riverwalk. Masks are required at all times,
6-foot physical distancing is maintained, and electronic ticketing
allows for touchless entry. Hand sanitizers and disinfecting
wipes are provided, and the entire area is sanitized before each
performance. The Straz also requires a health questionnaire and
wrist temperature check before entry. Next up are Troubadour’s
Tale for March 19-21 and Butterfly’s Flight for April 22-25. For

This Storybook Time sculpture by renowned
artist Glenna Goodacre has been added to the
Tarpon Springs Cultural Center.
Tarpon Springs Installs
Public Sculpture
The City of Tarpon Springs and the
Tarpon Springs Public Art Committee
have installed a sculpture by Glenna
Goodacre at the Tarpon Springs Cultural
Center on the corner of Alternate U.S. 19
and Lemon Street. Storybook Time captures
the timeless joy and wonder that is shared
as a mother and her child read together.
Goodacre also created the Naiads statue
at the Dodecanese Boulevard west end
roundabout in Tarpon Springs. She is best
known for her creation of the Vietnam
Women’s Memorial at the Vietnam “Wall”
in Washington, D.C.
Opera Tampa Singers sang selections under the stars recently from a
variety of Gilbert and Sullivan productions.

Eugenie Bondurant Stars
St. Petersburg actress, cabaret singer and
acting coach Eugenie Bondurant is appearing
in the drama/thriller Fear of Rain, which is
about a girl, living with the hallucinations of
schizophrenia, who believes a child has been
kidnapped. The film stars Madison Iseman,
Harry Connick Jr. and Katherine Heigl as well
as Bondurant, who plays Dani, a part that was
originally written for a boy. Her next film, The
Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It with Patrick
Wilson and Vera Farmiga, is due for release
this summer. Bondurant is well recognized for
her role as the cult icon Tigris in The Hunger

2021 Virtual Bravura Brunch
The annual Bravura Brunch was held
virtually this year by The Florida
Orchestra North Suncoast Associates
to benefit and support the orchestra
and its community and educational
programs. The March program featured
Michael Francis, the orchestra’s music
director, and David Smith, principal
horn, along with other members of the
orchestra. The event was chaired by
Patricia Donohue, Ph.D.
