Matthew Haicken, who has a solo law practice in Manhattan and is the son of the late
Dr. Barry Haicken and Vivian Haicken of Belleair Bluffs, and Julie Raskin of Chicago, who works
for the city of New York City to implement sending zero waste to landfills, were married on
April 20, 2020 in their Brooklyn apartment during a private ceremony officiated by Mornings on 1
television show host Pat Kiernan, witnessed via Zoom by family members, and broadcast live to
thousands of the show’s viewers before the couple’s honeymoon in the Catskills.

Las Vegas, and Janie Thornley, daughter
of Christy (and stepfather Bob) Hupp,
owners of My Favorite Things in downtown
Dunedin, and Bob Thornley of Orlando, were
married January 2, 2021, during an intimate
ceremony outside Dallas in Irving, Texas,
which was attended by family members and
a limited number of friends. The Thornleys,
who had made pre-COVID plans for a large
wedding in Dunedin, Florida in April 2020,
live in Irving, Texas.

with others on a COVID-19
vaccine, who is the son of
Dr. Cedric D. Peirce and
Charlotte P. Brown of New
York City, and Christine L.
Schumaker, a United Airlines
flight attendant and the
daughter of Lieselore “Lilo”
Barnes of Clearwater and
Dr. Duane J. Schumaker of
Cookeville, Tennessee, were
married privately on December
22, 2020 at the Clearwater
Court House before dining
with family at the home of
Lilo and her husband Geoffrey
Barnes. The newlyweds reside
in Clearwater.
